Today officially starts the countdown to the Scandinavian Festival. (Three more weeks, in case you're wondering. :) In honor of THE event of the summer, I plan to post a pic every day that I took at last year's Festi, starting with one of my favorites. Allergies. I've mentioned them before (and c'mon, I'm ready for summer to be over already). See that hazy stuff on the horizon? That's dust from that field of grass. This is why I dislike summer, though the views are quite lovely...

There's something very refreshing about waking up after an overnight rain. Everything feels so clean.

I strongly dislike allergies. STRONGLY dislike. My nose swells, won't quit running. I am randomly attacked with coughing fits. My eyes itch. That being said, spring is one of my favorite times of year in Oregon. I love all the flowers.
