So.... the countdown to Scandi never happened (sorry). My camera died so I wasn't taking any new photos (cameraphone pics don't count). Therefore I wasn't inclined to post old ones! But it's all fixed now (thank you, Camera Guy!) so I'm going to pretend that I'll be posting daily. Or almost daily. Or weekly...

And to kick off the holiday season, this closeup of a spider I took at my parents' house! What does this have to do with holidays? Don't ask me, I just write this stuff.

Today officially starts the countdown to the Scandinavian Festival. (Three more weeks, in case you're wondering. :) In honor of THE event of the summer, I plan to post a pic every day that I took at last year's Festi, starting with one of my favorites. I love the random handcrafted stuff you can find there. I need me one of these.

I strongly dislike allergies. STRONGLY dislike. My nose swells, won't quit running. I am randomly attacked with coughing fits. My eyes itch. That being said, spring is one of my favorite times of year in Oregon. I love all the flowers.

This shot was taken on my last day in Seattle for SakuraCon 2011 back in April. It was such a fun time. My first convention, my first time in Seattle (and first time seeing the Space Needle of course), my first time cosplaying (Dressing up as a videogame/anime character. Yeah, I know. I'm a nerd.) It was SO. MUCH. FUN. Anyway, this is from the 20-something-th floor of the Hilton we stayed at and our view from breakfast.

This past Sunday, our church had its' annual Parents Day BBQ where the youth church made lunch for everyone. I managed to get a few good pics of the softball game that followed but my camera apparently doesn't like cloudy days so the color/focus/quality is kinda wonky. Anyway, this one's my favorite pic. That's my dad on the left coaching my nephew as he runs the bases. Not sure where his shoe ended up...

Went on a walk with my friend Raine today down the bike path behind Valley River Center. We started at the rose garden and worked our way toward the mall. It was such a gorgeous day for a walk, a bit windy but not at all chilly. Look at the baby geese we found! The momma wouldn't let us get any closer than this but awwwww. :)

I've decided to blog. Again. Some more. It's been awhile, neh? If all goes according to plan, it will be a "Picture of the Day!" type endeavor. Though I have so many photos, it may turn into a "Photo Dump of the Day!" Some are going to be old-ish. My hard drive is nearly FULL of random pics that I've taken over the past couple of years and I've decided that I need a place to share them. So here goes!

Be prepared for millions of pictures and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea deep thoughts. Or maybe just 2,000 Leagues Under the Sea... or how about just Floating on the Waves deep. Yeah, that sounds more realistic.
